Bünsa Casting Machine Tool Industry and Trade Inc. was established in the Bünyan district of Kayseri in the 1970’s. The partnership structure and field of activity, which were different in the years it was founded, took final shape in the 1990s and Bünsa started to produce steel shots and steel grit, operating in a closed area of 6000 m².

Bünsa founders have extensive experience in the Turkish iron, steel and casting industries beginning in the late 1960s. They have carried this experience into manufacturing and continue to contribute to the country's economy by producing martensitic steel shots and grit at Bünsa.

Founded and operating with 100 % domestic capital, domestic technology and domestic workforce, Bünsa is Turkey's first and only steel grit producer. Bünsa products, various sizes of steel shots and steel grit, are used in many sectors including casting, coating, ship building, dam maintenance, granite production and various manufacturing industries. Uses of shots and grit include sand removal, deburring, oxide removal, surface preparation, stress relief, stone surface aging and granite block cutting.

Bünsa has been producing martensitic type of steel shots and steel grits with high carbon levels and high hardness for more than 26 years. The company produces in compliance with SAE standards and hence is able to export its products to many countries worldwide.

With the power of increasing sales and exports and consistent production at world standards, we have made some new investments and renovated our production facilities to a large extent; our production capacity has almost doubled in the 2020’s.
